FACIM FAQ #1229 concerns itself with this question: “If the Course is all about the mind, why does lesson 71 seem so concerned with practical behavior?” Lyn Johnson and Bruce Rawles read and talk about this subject in this audio recording about this ACIM-related topic here. A Course in Miracles is always and only about the mind; it’s gentle curriculum of vigilance is pitched to our decision-making mind, which chooses … 24/7/365 … between one of only two thought systems: the peace-restoring thought system of forgiving our selves and all seeming others for what we or “they” never did … and the equally consistent – but totally insane hallucination-reinforcing, delusional thought system of those dreamers made mad by guilt. ACIM refers to ego’s ceaseless and favorite sabotaging practice as ‘level confusion” – propagandizing dream events as sinful, evil, wicked, and the dream characters as either victims or victimizers, but never innocent, always guilty. Eventually, we all give up on this sado-masochistic crazy-making choice in the mind and choose the gently healing process of true forgiveness.
“It’s not that the behavior changes, it’s that the behavior is now seen [from above ego’s insane battleground] as being innocent. … I can watch anything and lobby for the innocence of every character I see, including my own.” – Lyn Johnson
Thought you missed (any or all of) the 3rd annual virtual MiracleShare ACIM Conference? Nope; it’s still just as available for watching and listening any time! That’s one of many fun aspects of a virtual conference … it’s harder to “miss” if it’s every where and every when … or more so than physical events, at least! You can learn more about the virtual conference here, read the outline notes for my 30-minute video here, and still register for this excellent event here.
